During our first day, alot of happening things already happened. Let me first start with the v beginning of the day when we first arrived at Changi airport.
Checking in for our flight: We reached there at about 6.15am, cos our flight is at 8.05am. After checking in our luggages and settling the admin stuff, we ate breakfast and started to take photos. Were told that the boarding time is 7.40am. We were taking photos when we saw that the gate for our CI0662 flight is closing when minutes ago it was showing gate opening. So we quickly checked in when the person told us, "wat!? you all r still here when it's already 7.40am??" OMG. We tot de 7.40am was to check in at the v front door. We started running like siao towards our gate D36, and i tell u, D36 is super far!!! We were really running like mad, with our stomach still full of kaya butter toast. hahha. When we finally reached, onli a few ppl were on the queuing to go inside. Phew, if we were still walking slowly, tink we'll missed our flight! Wat a day to start with. hahha.
Inside the flight: Was halfway along the journey, there was abit of turbulence, so all of us had to put on our seat belt. Den there’s this old lady walking towards the toilet. One of the air stewardess started yelling, “老太太!坐下! 坐下!!快坐下!!” She screamed across the board loh. So sharp her “下” is! Hahha. Then when the flight is about to descend, one guy was heading towards the toilet. Tat same air stewardess started to yell across the board again, “先生坐下!! 坐下!! 坐下!!” OMG. Like tat she’s freaking everyone out leh, tot wat had happened.
Alighting the flight: We were shown the way to alight. But I was shown the left wing, the other 4 of my friens were shown the right wing. I keep walking, can’t find a way to cut to the right side. Jialat. I ended up walking alone with other strangers. I was like OMG! Was I shown the way to transit to another plane?!? Will I end up in India?!? Haha. Luckily managed to see them somewhere ahead. They also freaked out, dunno where I’ve gone missing.
Collecting our luggage bags: 4 of us managed to collect our luggage bags when we saw hw’s luggage bag stuck under the belt. We informed the security guard saying, “那个bag塞住了,塞住.” But the guard totally ignored us loh, so stupid, so unhelpful!! Poor hw hav to go round n round after the bag, trying to unlock the lock, cos the lock was stuck under one of the belt. Bo bian, her bag was left with no lock after tat, n one of the zip also broke. After tat we went out to find find this guy Joseph who was supposed to pick us up. He was holding this A4 size paper with my name. Hahha
Arrived at Taipei!!
On the bus: Got on this tour bus which will b bringing us to our Rainbow hotel. The bus is like shit, kinda old. It keep bumping n bumping, so we keep “jumping n jumping” on our 1hr ride to the hotel. We really feel like puking. Basically we were being thrown up n down our seats most of the time.
Alighting: The bus were supposed to go to 5 hotels in total, n ours was the 4th one to reach. Tat joseph din tell us to go down when de bus reached our hotel. Luckily we went down n ask him. How could he!? N den ah, he left us in de middle of road, saying the hotel is inside the narrow street so de bus can’t go in. And he juz left us there like tat!! Seeing so many cars coming towards our way, I told xb tat I helped her pull her luggage bag first (she was pulling mine), later den pass to her. Den I started to pull when she came along n say she pull. So 2 hands were pulling this bag when hw n yh shouted from behind, “ wey!! 这个谁的bag??” hahha. It was mine!! Xb had let go mine n come to pull hers. Hahha. Tat scene was super funny. 2 ppl pulling one luggage bag, n leaving 1 bag in de middle of the road. *pengz*
Heading towards our hotel: We 5 gals look so pathetic when we were pulling our luggage bag towards our hotel. Hahha. Scooters were coming in all directions. So shocking k. we hav to siam every now n den for scooters or cars. Were amazed tat vehicles can juz come in anywhere n everywhere. Were pulling halfway when there was this guy from dunno wat shop. He shouted to us, “ 美女,你们回来了啊!”I was like huh?! Wat toking u?!? so I tok back,” 我们都没有来过, 怎么回来?!” heh.
Checking in: Went in to check in for our 2 rooms when the counter told us,” 哎呀, 你们的房间还没收拾好, 需要30分钟来打扫.” We were like wah, like tat also can ah. Our breakfast coupons she also say haven get ready yet. *pengz* So we went into one of our rooms to put our luggage first. Indeed, they haven tidy the room, rubbish were everywhere, v untidy. Den we started to chant, “打扰了,让我们在这里住5天. 打扰了,打扰了.” hahha.
After tat we went to buy international calling card to call back hm. Hahha. We really spent quite some time struggling with how to use de card n how to call back. Proceed to walk n shop around 西门町. Tried out their 阿宗面籼. Is super nice!! Taste like u r eating shark fins. Hahha. Oh ya, n hoh, is eat while standing de. There’s no chairs, no tables. Juz de stall onli. And de queue is always there, so many ppl eating. So a lot of ppl were crowding there holding the bowls n eating.
Later we bought this food which looks like mua chi to us. There’s a lot of different flavours, but all in chinese. Bought 3 flavours: 巧克力, 起司(cheese), and 抹茶. We were wondering wat抹茶 is, den hw was saying shld b mocha. Wahhaha. Is not loh!!. Turned out to b green in colour, n taste weird, prob abit like green tea. Hahha. Yh says it tasted like green paint.
Den we bought this 冰果冻 with a lot of fruits inside, cost around S$5. hahha. Pai sei ah, we were really hungry n thirsty so ate halfway den realized din take de photo. Hee.
Our next place is 博爱路. But we had a hard time trying to find the street. Luckily there’s this kind lady who was riding a scooter, with her son sleeping on de scooter’s platform(yes!!sleeping!!), she stopped in front of us and described to us de directions. Hahha. I tink she saw de 5 of us struggling with the map. This 博爱路is a street mainly sells shoes!! The 5 of us started our shopping spree over there. De shoes were onli selling between S$10-S$20. Quite cheap hoh.
We wanted to go to this Ho Che Zhan, which according to yh, sells a lot of ladies’ accessories n bags. But hoh, we asked around asking where Ho Che Zhan is. The ppl keep saying, “ 哦,火车站啊…. 在那个巴士转换站后面.” Arrggh!! We dun wan 火车站, we wan Ho Che Zhan. Hahha. we keep saying 那里卖很多女人的首饰,画妆品啊… haiyo. But they still can’t get de idea of where we r going to. They juz keep saying火车站 and火车站. Hhaha. So in de end, we din go there. Ended up buying shoes in shops underground. Wah I tell u… need to climb a lot of stairs at their mrt stations. So tiring man. And ah, when on de escalator, u hav to keep strictly to de right, unless u wan to overtake den u can use de left side. Going inside MRT also hav to queue de leh!! Not like us, when de door open, sardines juz squeezed in. haha.
Were feeling really hungry so we bought KFC. They hav no chilli sauce, onli got chilli powder. Really wonder how they use. Haha. N ah, plastic bags need $$$ if u wan. For NT$2 each! They hav this mocha latte tart which taste quite nice. Hw loves it v much. haha. And we keep saying their NT$50 as 5毛 cos their NT$50 is coins, looks like our 5毛. They hav no毛 de, smallest is NT$1.
